MORNING MANIFESTO

Dear readers,

Today, I want to take a moment to dedicate this blog post to my two wonderful children, Nicholas and Alexandra. As a parent, I am incredibly blessed to have these two amazing individuals in my life. They have brought so much joy, love, and laughter into my world and I couldn't be more proud of them. From their kind hearts to their bright minds, my children constantly inspire me to be the best version of myself. So here's to Nicholas and Alexandra - thank you for being the light in my life.

Every morning, there are a few things to remember.

"Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings." - William Arthur Ward.

. . .

1. Get uncomfortable.

Never become complacent with your current position in life; continue to develop professionally and personally. If you sense yourself becoming stagnant, put yourself in challenging situations.

“Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.”

. . .

2. Be confident; build confidence.

Your actions are a culmination of your confidence. Perform respectful and engaging actions and develop healthy routines. Dress well, consume well, exercise regularly, be truthful, and remain genuine.

“The difference between who you are and who you want to be is what you do.”

. . .

3. Stay true to your own passions.

Do not allow others to dictate your lifestyle. Find your passions and fight ferociously to ensure that every day aligns with them.

“Do what you love and do it often.” — Holstee Manifesto

. . .

4. Seek failure.

You are doing something incorrectly if failure is not an option. Remember to place yourself in situations that will test your abilities and keep you alert.

“If it scares you, it might be a good thing to try.” — Seth Godin

. . .

5. Dance, literally and metaphorically.

Always be open to new experiences and opportunities, even if they intimidate you. If you have the option to wait it out or dance, you should dance. Life is too brief to harbour misgivings.

“If you stumble, make it part of the dance.”

. . .

6. Be grateful.

Remember to be thankful for the individuals, places, and opportunities in your life. Take a few moments each day to appreciate this incredible world; never take it for granted. Stand in the rain, notice the stars, and notice the sunset.

. . .

7. Be optimistic.

Bad experiences are an inevitable part of life, and they frequently have valuable lessons to teach; respect them and move on. Within reason, cultivate a positive outlook by seeking the positive in every circumstance. Sometimes unfortunate events simply occur.

“Choose to be optimistic. It feels better.” — Dalai Lama XIV

. . .

8. Collect moments, not things.

Always opt for the journey. When it comes to spending money, invest in new experiences rather than a new vehicle or larger home. Spend more time with the significant individuals in your life. And for goodness sake, put away your phone.

“Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.” — Dr. Seuss

. . .

9. Be kind and stay genuine.

Ask others about their experiences and listen attentively. Ask about their interests. Collaborate with others and, if given the chance, do what you can to assist them in achieving their objectives.

“Be silly. Be honest. Be kind.” — Ralph Waldo Emerson

. . .

10. Chase your dreams and set new goals.

Never stop pursuing what is important to you. It will be difficult to always know where you need to go, but as long as you are actively pursuing your next goal, whether at work or on your own time, you will find your way.

“Ask yourself if what you are doing today is getting you closer to where you want to be tomorrow.”

. . .

11. Never grow up.

Never stop being curious and in wonderment as a child. Pursuing your passion is difficult, so be sure to take frequent breaks and enjoy yourself. Enjoy life by being playful, joking around, laughing, singing, and dancing, and above all else, simply having fun.

“Attitude is the difference between an ordeal and an adventure.”
