We all experience various life circumstances and wonder, "Why is this happening to me? " Why me? Can I even have a break? This puts one on the effect side of the equation, which means you have forfeited all personal responsibility energetically.
. . .
Picture this.....
Two days that are the same and have the same schedule. One goes so well, while the other is just a day you'd rather forget. How is this possible? The answer is that what you see is what you project.
The alarm went off at the same time every day. You slept for the same extra ten minutes and then did your usual things in the morning.
But getting to work yesterday was different. Maybe it was because it was Monday. The sun was out, and the bright light was annoying. You looked at a few other drivers' faces and saw that they were frowning back at you. At the intersection, no one would let you in, and everyone seemed to be in a bad mood.
Today, though, the sun is out and it makes it feel so good. Everyone seems happy and friendly, and they even let you in when the road is the busiest. At the light, you can see that the person next to you is singing along to the same song on the radio, and you both smile at each other.
So what changed?
. . .
Perception is projection
In terms of neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), the only difference is you. Everything we see is a projection of ourselves, and playing the "perception is projection" game can be a great way to learn more about yourself.
So, if you project everything you see, does that mean you can control what you project? Yes, and this is where the fun starts.
To do this, you need to be aware of your state and what you are doing with it, both inside and out.
Keeping a positive state means that your thoughts and feelings about your experiences are positive, and this will show in your body and in the way you act. If you do this the next time you go for a walk, you'll notice that people will smile or nod at you because you look happy.

Putting it to work
You've probably heard the saying "perception is projection" before. Meeting new people at events is a great example. Think back to a night when you felt really up for it and it turned out to be even better than you expected. Maybe everyone you talked and turned out to be a great contact and you got along with them right away. On the other hand, when you didn't want to go to an event, you left with either no contacts or none that meant anything. That's no coincidence!
This is very important for real estate sales. How many successful sales calls have you made when you weren't in the right mood? Now think about how successful you have been when you were in a good mood. If you were thinking, "They'll never buy from me," you were wrong. Not at all.
. . .
How does everything work?
We only take in 134 bits (bits per second) of the 2 million bits of information that are all around us. This means we can't pay attention to everything that comes our way. So, we really can’t see anything other than who we are. What you see is you, and what others see is them.
Perception is projection is a fantastic awareness tool – awareness of yourself, of others and of the world around you. Practicing positive projections can really result in a happy, productive day, and gives you control to turn around those days you just want to end.
